Motorcycle Reflective Safety Tape - Black Adhesive. RTK-03A

This product is wonderful! I ran out of the tape before I ran out of places/things to apply it to. As other reviewers have stated it does not reflect as much when viewed straight on, AT CLOSE RANGE, but when viewed at over 100 ft, or so it seems to reflect quite well from all angles. This product is easily modified with sharpe scissors and have some fun with a sharpie pen to mask/draw on the tape as well. I applied it to my vinal wet weather gear and the back of my vinal seat, and it sticks very well and seems to hold up to a lot of bending.I definitely will buy more, and think it is a great product!

First I would like to say that the shipping on this item was outstanding. I received my item within 3 days after placing the order. Kudos to BikerHiway. Now for the review.The black reflective tape works as good as can be expected. It is BLACK, therefore it will not reflecte as much light as does white reflective tape. The same holds true for the Red reflective tape and any other non-white colors. I digress. The black tape does reflect light and is virtually unseen on black items. I have a black motorcycle and placed a few strips of this material at key spots and to the novice, would go unnoticed during the day. I used this on fiberglass and metal and the the material was easiy to apply...just clean the spot first. I am not sure how well it will stick on soft items, such as saddlebags or seats.I would but this item again when needed. This is easily cut with sharp sissors.

I cut a triangle and placed on back of black/red helmet. Can't see it during the day. Lights up at night. I can't follow myself down the road in a car to verify the reflectivity, but if you consider that it's intended to reflect from far away as opposed to close-up I trust that is is doing what it's meant to. It does clearly light up (some) whenever the helmet is sitting somewhere and light catches it. It doesn't light up bright white like in the picture, but dull gold. I assume that it is brighter from a distance of over over 200' but can't confirm that. I've had it stuck to the helmet all year and no indications of scratches, pealing or damage. The tape is very high quality which lends me to the assumption that the reflectivity is just as they describe. Better at longer distances.

The tape only reflects back at a DIRECT 90 degree angle. I attached them to the back face of my panniers which have a slight forward tilt, if the lights behind me are elevated above 6 feet, the reflectivity is good, otherwise not. For the price and shipping costs, I thought the square inch area was pretty meager. I would not purchase this product again.

Quite small, there is almost enough in the package for 1 side bag, even if cut in half, still much smaller than expected, especially for the price (and the description and photograph). Material also does not adhere to OEM Side Cases where designed. Overall, not a happy purchase and by the time realized just how bad, items were already cut and besides, would have been too much trouble to return ... waist of time and money

the tape works well.. highly reflective, but only at a narrow angle with a direct headlight. This is as described but will not provide the same level of wide angle visual safety as other more conventional tapes. This tape suits people who want the black look as a priority.

This is reflective tape, like other 3M reflective tapes, except that it is black and blends in well with motorcycle accessories. I was surprised at how well it reflects. My husband put it on the back of his helmet, his jacket, saddlebags, and other areas of his motorcycle. The tape doesn't stand out or look tacky and does a good job in adding visibility.

This tape seems slightly less reflective than some other high-intensity reflecting tape, but it reflects plenty of light from headlights at night. On the up side, it is nearly invisible on my black bike frame in daylight. This was the perfect solution for me, since I want to be highly visible when riding on the streets at night, but not look so much like a reflector-covered dork in the day when it is not necessary.Package contains several sizes, which I have been cutting up into smaller pieces with scissors. It cuts easily into any shape, and the backing is easy to remove. I got solid adhesion to my painted bicycle frame after wiping off dirt and drying, so I didn't bother with rubbing alcohol cleaning. I also put some on my motorcycle and bicycle helmets.
