I loved the way the knifes were built, The form to my hand was perfect to grip on to. The sharpness was perfect. I was able to cut every produce and every meat products with one stride. I'm a manager at a restaurant in Michigan and I've used plenty of knifes and I'd say your knifes are by far the best I've used. I also like the extra art you offer as well rather then just plain black handles. I personally chose the white handles with the chrome bottom. 5 star knifes in my eyes. Thanks for the great quality.

Edit: Cont. from initial review below. Seller got back to me and offered to send a new knife block. It looks like it may be a common defect because it appears they just drilled out more area for me to fit the knife in all the way and this area was not stained but hey, it works and they were quick about getting back to me and rectifying the situation with little work from myself. Not sure if it was for custom’s purpose but they also included a free knife! Knives are sharp and look nice!Original post: After way too much back and forth searching for a the perfect knife set at the right price to gift to myself, I was really looking forward to this set! Opening up the package, the box looked mostly intact, the knives were looking great, the scissors had a couple dings but they were just the scissors after all...then I tried to put all the knives away in their given slots in the block but when I got to the pairing knife...as you can see in the photos, it doesn’t fit. Super bummed! Tried to send an email through Amazon to the seller and it couldn’t go through. Not sure what can be done other than to return these. Also now questioning the quality of the knives themselves after seeing the lack of quality control in just the housing device...

I collect great knives usually by their steel. Having vg-19 steel is fantastic with light Damascus to boot. It is way over most knife sets anywhere in this $150 ,price range.BTW the honey colored wood block matched my kitchen cabinets and my island...I have a few Spyderco knives in vg-10. One retails for $330.00. Ish...Take a good look at this knife set. VG-10 is a great stainless steel that the Japanese invented. I like the steel it retains a great edge, it is a tad harder to sharpen, and has excellent stainless qualities too.Hell of a deal. TOO!

For the price, you'll be hard pressed to find a nicer set of knives. The fit and finish is excellent, the rivets in the handles have no burring on the edges and the blades are sharp.

These knives are awesome. They look great in my kitchen. They replaced some very old dull knives.

Incredible value for the money; they are extremely sharp and look amazing

Pretty disappointed - block came with a nice split up the side as others have reported. Carving knife had a very small chip, size of the ballpoint of a ballpoint pen. Not ideal but not the end of the world, contacted seller though and they did not respond.Worse and why I am posting is because I got a chip in the chef's knife from cutting a spaghetti squash.... soooo ya, pretty disappointed. And it's a sizeable chip, maybe like half a peppercorn, going to take quite a few sharpening's to get ride.They did come very sharp, given the chip, not sure how long that will last.

My wife and I strongly believe in buying and using affordable quality tools, whether it's for the workshop or the kitchen. We've been cooking together for over 40 years and we've purchased many sets of kitchen knives in the past. We finally have a set that is not only very sharp and maintain it's edge for along time, but this set is also very good looking and will always be in full display on our counter top.

We have used every knife in the set several times with different ingredients and they are all fantastic. The cut quickly and smoothly with little pressure. You need to be careful if your current knives are mediocre because I almost cut myself a few times because these slice so quickly. Only item I don't love are the scissors. They are a little oddly shaped and maybe too fancy for what scissors really need to be. Highly recommend the set.

I love these knives! With all the Fake Damascus knives out there, these are the real deal. Razor sharp ! Very nice to look at. The feel of the knife in your hand is balanced and works with ease.Would highly recommend this set.I would also recommend learning knife skills, these are a professional tool and can do some serious damage if not handled with respect.
