Great platform for DD-WRT VPN Router
Set up with DD-WRT as a VPN router to geo-shift and access content. Works perfectly for this application and very heavy-duty construction and dual core chips run a WireGuard tunnel with ease and low temperatures. Worked so well I have purchased additional units for me and to set up for friends.

Good wifi coverage + dd-wrt support
I bought this router only as it has an option to change the firmware to dd-wrt. I did this within a few minutes as it's so easy. After reboot and configuring my VPN client(not server as supported by the Linksys firmware) connected to it with no issues and happily using the device daily. 2.4 and 5ghz wifi with 4 decent ariels provide good wifi in the house.

Signal is stable but coverage is pathetic. It does not cover one villa floor with 4 bedrooms

Excellent for OpenWrt
If you're aiming to install a custom firmware (OpenWrt / DD-Wrt, etc..), then you already know this router is for you.If not, then this is just a solid router (reliable + decent range for small 1000sqft area) even with stock firmware.However, if you have a bigger area to cover (more than 1000sqft), then don't get this one, instead get mesh routers; both amazon eero or google mesh routers are good choices.

Very good quality at a reasonable price
When I started looking for a router, I was looking for one that supports multiple devices at the same time. Not only, I found this router but also you reschedule some devices to work during some time. (i.e. If you need your kids to use their tablets for a certain number of hours).I liked also that its price is reasonable comparable to other devices.
