These are great! I regularly walk around with my keys in my pocket and my lanyard hanging out of my pocket. (I know this is stupid, but it's how I could always be sure I had my keys). My lanyard would sometimes snag on doorknobs or desk corners as I was walking around. This meant I would go through several lanyards a year. This one has now lasted longer than any other and is still in great shape. I cannot weigh in on any self-defense aspect of this product, as I have not yet whipped anyone with my keys. It seems likely, though, that it would hurt very much.

Perfect love them. At first I was set on only wanting one and was disappointed it only came in packs of two but after getting them I am very happy to have both.

Use them for a short leash for Pup, grab handles for packs, carry handles for bundles of cable and rope. Good to keep around in the truck to add to whatever you need. Can attach it to cord for a more comfortable handle for bags, etc.
