Better than I hoped!
Initially thought, here we go another item for the cupboard, but no, its great! Plenty of pressure to make it a proper massage and it does feel line a good set of thumbs getting to work on your tight spots... and I've used it all over, not just my neck... hamstrings, calfs, glutes... testament - I'm still using it! (Oh heat isn't great, but still recommend)

More than expected
I bought this as a Christmas present for my partners as he suffers with back pain, namely sciatica in his lower back. I wasn't expecting too much but the reviews were good. I honestly couldn't recommend this product enough, it is easy to use, firm and does a fantastic job. My boyfriend loves it and I gave it a go too, there's knots in my back I didn't know were there until this lean mean massage machine went to work! Has helped his back too.

Good for shoulder massages but not much else unfortunately
When looking for a decent neck, shoulder and back massager this one appeared to come highly recommended on Amazon so I thought I'd take a chance on it and give it a go. The good news is that it is a very capable shoulder massager, and the design and materials are very well made. Unfortunately after a few days of use it became clear that while it was able to perform shoulder massages very well, it wasn't particularly easy to massage the back or neck without some awkward placements (almost lying back on it in a chair, the worry being it would get damaged by doing so). Furthermore, the heating feature appears to be almost nonexistent; while it lights up a red glow it doesn't actually get even warm. At first I thought it was me having too high an expectation on the strength of its heat, but after getting another person to give it a try they also found that it seems to either be defective or so mild as to be ineffective. In summary it's a well made shoulder massager but not a back or neck one, and the heating element is basically for show as far as I can tell (although mine may simply be defective).

Saved me from back pain agony, the trapped nerve…!
I had a trapped nerve in my back, oh lord the pain was an agony… I couldn’t sleep, sit, walk, NOTHING! And nothing was helping, no painkillers prescribed by doctors either and the pain was getting gradually worse… I’m only 38, rather fit, slim, so I know the pain was not caused by anything else but trapped nerve. I’ve heard of a tennis ball massage, but it was impossible in the car and not easy when on your own so I searched this treasure and oh man, the relief was INSTANT. I absolutely recommend it, it is my best Amazon purchase ever! People are quick to write a bad review, not so much on the good ones - I’m bad to not leave many in general, but this back massager is my life saviour and I don’t know what I would have done without it. Within 2 days - 2 DAYS!!! the pain was gone ❤️ If you ever suffer from a back trapped nerve, get it!!!

Three months and it's dead...
A real shame that this product couldn't last longer than three months and now I can't send it back because the returns window just closed. I've been using it every day and it has given me some substantial relief but last night it just stopped.Even though the product was helping me with the tendon and muscle pain in my legs, I have to agree with the complaints that people have made. This product does overheat both on the main machine and at the plug. I was burned a couple of times, once on my shoulder and on my leg as it's easy to mistake the sense of friction with actually being burned. I thought people were crazy when they wrote this but it is actually true - I apologise to those profusely to whom I scoffed at. I don't really understand why the heat has to be so intense or why the heat is necessary at all. It's a real shame as I was struggling to walk with sciatic pain and this was really helping with the trigger points in my legs and buttocks. Now I will have to wait and gamble on another brand. Booooo!
