I don't really need it, but the light has two levels - high and low. It's also easy to reach and very good value for money. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because the neck is not very sturdy - so it doesn't really hold itself up vertically for example, and it kind of slumps, but it's not too bad.

I ORDERED TWO LAMPS AND ONE JUST DOES NOT WORK JUST KEEPS ON FLIKERING EVEN THOUGH I TRIED CHANGING THE PLUGS IN SEVERAL PLACES AND ALSO THE PLUG OF THE OTHER LAMP. EVEN AMAZON DID NOT HELP IN THIS ISSUE SAYING ITS A THIRD PARTY SALE. SURPRISING AFTER BEING THEIR PRIME MEMBER FOR SO MANY YEARS, THIS IS THE ANSWER THEY GIVE

very good product, flexible and affordable!

The product's build quality, functionality and everything else is fine but i bought 2 of these lamps for my kids' rooms that are just next to each other. The problem is, when you try to turn the light on or off in one room, the lamp in the other room turns on or off as well. Basically, it makes the remotes unusable at night in our case. One of the kids wakes up at night, you use the remote to turn the light on, it wakes the other one up as well.

Worth it. Bright reading lights. The electrical cable is short.
