After serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Rainforest, founder Evan Delahanty wanted a snack that would keep him connected to the vitality of Mother Nature. Real fruit snacks that help the earth and your diet!
I bought Peaceful Fruits the first time because the owner is a friend from college. But that's not why I bought them the second time, or the third.For 35 calories, they're tasty, healthy, guilt-free snacks I can put in my purse and tote with me. I love telling friends about them and their mission of saving the rainforest, and how they give FULL WAGE jobs to disabled workers (unlike some places *cough*Goodwill*cough*)...The weird thing is they're totally healthy, 100% fruit snacks. Only the FDA won't let them say "healthy" on the label because açai is like avocado, full of insanely beneficial natural fats -- so if there's fat they're not healthy, according to the FDA! Ah, the joys of government restrictions.Anyway, overall, these strips might look like roofing shingles, but they're tasty, fulfilling, and great for earning karma!
