I have a Wood shop with an assortment of clamps.My hands have lost gripping power over the years and this clamp is my new go-to.The ratchet gear allows me to easily get good movement and grip on wood that I'm clamping.The only drawback I've experienced is ratcheting in a tight corner. Nevertheless you can work around it and I highly recommend this!

A little awkward to get used to, these are awesome clamps. A lot of times they require two hands to possession and cinch the clamp down, but once it's started they are very fast and secure. The clamp has a deeper throat than most screw clamps and the moveable foot has a cut out between the foot and bar, which allows you to clamp over the edge of something. E.g. My drill press is hollow under the table and that cutout allows me to clamp things down to the table. As I said earlier, that takes two hands because it's hard to hold it place while squeising the cam handle as gravity is pulling down with that action too. Most horizonal clamping can be accomplished with one hand. The clamp is operated as a conventional clamp at first, where you'd slide the clamp up the bar to hold your pieces together, but then, you just push or pull the handle down to the desired grip and it's done. That handle WILL put a considerable force on the work piece without hardly any effort and supper fast to operate. The bar is substantial enough to hold it without flexing hardly at all. They are a little pricey as most clamps are, but in this case you get what you pay for.

Worked great on a couple weekend projects. They are well built. I expect a lot of years of use. If they break there is a lifetime warranty.

I had owned 10 of these for my wood shop and when I sold out and moved to NC I left them there. I should have kept some. For me, if I need a quick extra stout clamp for small stuff, this is the one. It takes a minute to figure them out but they worked great when building furniture.
