Williamsburg Artist Oil Colors by GOLDEN, Iridescent Pewter, 37 ml tube, Professional Oil Paint, Semi-Opaque

I am a professional artist, and Williamsburg is excellent quality oil paint. The paint arrived is good condition, with no tube damage. The price was slightly higher than what I usually pay, but I didn't need to place a large order like I do with my regular supplier, to get free shipping. Also nice that this showed up fast...when I needed it.

Love the clean pastel mixes of pure radiant colors.

This review is for Dianthus Pink. Buy it with confidence for two reasons. First, even though it is quite soft, it holds up in mixes. It's not a Pthalo, but it's not going to get pushed around either. Second, it will be your go-to for flesh tones, especially if you use Brilliant Pink. Dianthus is easier to control. When you mix it with a flake white and whatever color you need to get your tone, it will knock you socks off. Dianthus plus a lead white produces a "human" quality that you have to see to believe.I also use one of three of Harding's Transparent Oxides in my mixes, depending on the subject. The tones I get are too good for a painter as bad as I am.I would love to see Harding's Stack White mixed with Will's Dianthus Pink. But paying $60 for a 37 ml tube when I can get five times as that much lead from Williamsburg for the same amount is silly for a hack like me.

I have been an oil painter for about 10 years now and of all the brands of paints I have ever used, Williambsurg Oils are the absolute best. Pigment is out of this world and the price could definitely be worse for what you are getting. I paint super thin so a tube will last me forever, and the color sets with the smaller sized tubes work best for me to be able to try new colors without committing to fun sized tubes. The signature color set is beautiful and I would recommend giving ANY Williamsburg colors a try.

As with all Williamsburg paints, it’s gorgeous with rich, full chroma. The website says it may take 14 days for this to cure. Mine was almost three weeks before I could lightly touch it without getting gold paint on my hands. It’s gorgeous but you need time and patience.

Did not get them for myself, but as a birthday gift for my son who does oil painting. He says thaey are very good and really likes the colours included in this package. He has used a couple of the colors and was quite impressed with them

Tubes are small but it's the best oil paint I've used. Well worth the money.

I love Williamsburg Handmade Oils. The Cerulean pigment from this particular brand is a little more grainy than what I imagined. If you do a lot of glazing, this might have a little too much grit/tooth for the ultra smooth tableaux but I think it is an essential nonetheless. The quality is superb so really, no complaints. I am also happy to discover Hyatt’s All Things Creative store through this Amazon purchase. We have stores in Canada, but in a pinch, or for a few very specific items unavailable elsewhere, this is a great place to look!
