PHILIPSRespironics DreamWear Nasal Mask Frame (Large)

I’m a disabled veteran of the USAF and I found out I have severe sleep apnea and have to use a CPAP machine at night. I was originally given a medium mask for my unit but I would have trouble sleeping because I felt the mask was too small and it was uncomfortable on my head. I couldn’t be happier to have got this large mask to replace the medium because it has drastically changed the sleep quality I received in a positive way. I am so much more comfortable at night and also feel the air pressure is less constricted with this for me. If you find discomfort while wearing your Dreamwear it might be from the size being too small. Transferring the straps from the smaller size to this was very easy, the quality of this mask is very good and very comfortable!

I enjoy using these than using the regular face mask. It's comfortable and very affordable!

I first tried the ResMed over the head design and really came to appreciate the flexible size. Although the Dreamwear pillows are much comfier over my nostrils I found the headgear just too tight for my not so large noggin. This size doesn’t constrict the sides of my head like the medium. In my case the medium was too small but the large too big—hopefully this won’t be your scenario, too. Nothing more important than comfort when you realize one-third of your life will be spent lying alongside this new “bedtime friend.”

Finally there's a product out there that doesn't obstruct the face!Pros:*I can wear my glasses in the evening and watch TV/Read (I know it's not good to watch TV at night from bed but the whole point of this bullet point is to let you know that your face is free from obstruction)* very high-quality material. I don't find the need to use or purchase any of those foam/felt cheek protectors.*My favorite feature is that air flows through both sides to your nose so you can sleep on your left side or right side and air will continue to flow from the unobstructed side making side-sleeping effortless.* Genius nose piece air flow isolation. I have a lot of stubble and no matter whether clean-shaven or mustache, there is no air leakage.Cons:* From another persons point of view, this is a quiet mask but the air flowing through the mask to your nose passes by your ears which sounds noisier to you.*Price point is high when taking into account the materials used. You're pretty much paying for the technology.Overall:I highly recommend this product. I have gone through many facemasks (at least 10 different kinds) and all of them have caused irritation, Facial obstruction, and more noise. You pay a high price for the product but this is a one-of-a-kind mask and the inventors did a great job with the materials and style used. I highly recommend it.

Fits well very comfortable

It's crucial that you know your size when you order this. Once you get it right, it'll work brilliantly, provided you also have the neckpiece and the nasal pillow. This does not come with those necessary items. Because they're a needed medical item, the cost is high. It's not super easy to clean, but that's due to the design of all CPAP gear and no fault of this particular item. You may want to get some covers for the parts that go over your cheeks, or you'll have deep creases in your face for the first few hours of every morning, especially if you're a side-sleeper, like me.
