Hunters Specialties Scent-A-Way Scent-Safe Travel Bag

When I was first starting to hunt, I was washing my clothes in scent-free detergent, drying the clothes, and vacuum sealing them in one of those big ziplock storage bags to keep scent off of them. I found this and everything has gotten so much easier. Now I wash and dry my clothes and throw them in this bag with a fresh earth scent wafer. I hunted all last season without cover scent and never had an issue of not seeing deer or getting caught because of scent. I can also throw my worn clothes back into the bag after a hunt and they will be smelling like fresh earth again for the next hunt providing I wasn't sweating.Besides how well this bag works, it's big, very big. I can fit multiple shirts, pants, socks, a pair of thick coveralls, my Bogs boots, a hat, 2-3 face masks, and other little things like deodorant inside this bag at one time. With one or two scent wafers in the bag, everything will be smelling like fresh earth.If you are a hunter, buy this bag if you have a lot of clothes, worried about scent, or want to reduce costs by using scent wafers. You won't be disappointed.

I have four of the old design that was green. This new version ripped at the zipper seams the first week I used. With a gaping hole it is no longer scent free. Great design turned into Chinese made junk!

As we all know, we're never going to beat a deer's nose. Hunt the right winds, use low impact entry and exits, etc but may as well check off some easy boxes on your "scent" list where possible and a scent control bag is one of those.Purchased to replace an older (different brand) scent control bag to transport camo from the house to get dressed in the field. The other bag did the job (I think?) but wore out after years of use. I hadn't ever given any thought to what improvements it needed or features it lacked. That is until I received this. I suppose I was just expecting a bag with a zipper and some sort of double wall barrier to control/reduce odor getting into the bag. I've used it for an entire season and hunted over 25 days so have put it through a pretty good test. This bag has some great features at an great price. I paid $26.99 with Prime and if I'd seen this bag in person before buying and it had a price tag of $49.99 I would have thought that completely reasonable seeing all the features in this bag.First it is incredibly large (still pliable enough to compact down and not take up space if only partially full). We always have a huge swing in temps (can be 60s to single digits) during the Sept thru Dec bow season in KS. I can carry two sets of camo (1 being a really bulky cold weather set), 2-3 sets of base layers, several hats, pairs of gloves, etc. Basically more than enough to cover any weather conditions with room to spare. No need to check weather the night before and swap out camo weights based on forecasts. This is a camo "go bag".Easy to carry, long handles to sling over shoulder. Double zipper system and pretty smartly placed velcro strips at top of inner gusset wall to keep the walls close together and bag compact after compressing bag to remove air. Large, easy to use zipper pulls even in gloves and easy to find/see (they are bright yellow) in the dark, material seems durable, inside of bag is bright yellow which helps to sort through clothes in the dark without a headlight, bright yellow accents on outside of bag.Not much I can find lacking in this bag. When you see this in person it has the features/materials and feel of a bag that would cost double. Highly recommend for the features and price.

I use these to store my bow hunting clothes during and between seasons, after washing with them scent control soap, to keep outside scents away. I add a few earth scented wafers to the inner pockets which does a good job adding a cover scent. Take the whole bag with me on hunts and just remove what I need for each hunt. What I don't use stays in the bag and scent free for the next hunt.

To be fair, I own 4 of Hunter specialty scent bags. They changed the design halfway through and these "new design" bags that are green and have yellow zippers are absolute trash. BOTH of the new bags zippers broke within the first WEEK of me owning them. Without the zippers (which you can't fix) these bags become useless (doesn't keep scent out). I reached out to the company and the said the would "setup a return authorization". This was over 2 weeks ago and I have heard NOTHING from this company since. I have reached out multiple times since and have zero response. I absolutely loved the old bags (no yellow zipper and sturdy design). Overall I really used to love this companies no-scent bags for all of my hunting gear, but since they have changed the design, it's better to find a different style until they fix their product and customer service.

Cannot be beat for the price, period.What you get with the Deluxe bag at under $25 is amazing. I bought 3 of these bags, how could you not at this price.Just as great as the competition; Dead Down Wind. And better quality, I own both and these are the best for a stuff bag.For years I used my old military duffels and garbage bags, not anymore! This bag just came to me yesterday. I loaded up my hunting gear the night before (for a hunt this morning) and closed the inner zipper, and then the outer. This morning at 5am, getting ready to hunt, I opened the outer zipper and it came completely off the rails because of a small tear in the bag (see pic). Then I spent 15 minutes trying to open the inside zipper and it wouldn't budge for love or money. So, with friends waiting on me to go as time was running out, I made the decision to slice the bag open in order to access my hunting clothes. The bag is now useless. If you look also at the one picture where my hand is holding the detached pull string you'll notice that where it attaches to the zipper is not a closed loop, and therefore comes right off when you pull it. My advice, HS, is to put on YKK zippers and raise the price if necessary. I have never owned a bag like this (usually put my gear in a leaf bag with some wafers), nor am I one to post reviews to amazon, but felt compelled in this case. Extremely disappointing and now need to throw it out.
