This works great for my 30 lb. beagle. It keeps her in the backseat so that I can drive without any distractions. I tried the large size first, but it gave her too much freedom, and she was able to climb over the arm rest and into the front seat. So, I switched to the small size and it was PERFECT. It allows her just enough movement so that she can place her front paws on the arm rest and that's it. She can still be near me, look out the front window, and enjoy the air conditioner blowing on her face after a hot run in the park. And, I can safely drive. It is a well-made, sturdy product. I tried hammocks before I found this seatbelt, but she was able to climb over them easily. This seatbelt is so much simpler and does the trick.

Love that this is so well built and that it clips into any of my vehicle's seatbelts. I use this with a safety harness on my dog and it works great! There have been times I haven't had my dog's leash with me and I just unbuckle this from the car and extend it as far as it will go and it works as the leash.If you had a small(er) dog this would be too long at its shortest length to keep your dog in their seat. I have a medium sized dog and I wish it could shorten just a touch more. I am very happy with this purchase though.

My dog is happier with this type of tether in the back seat opposed to everything else we have tried to keep her safe while in the car. It works perfectly in our 2015 Toyota Prius but does not work in our 2014 Honda CRV. I bought the longer one so that we can size it down as needed and so glad I did. The shorter version would have been too short and the dog could have potential been hanging partly off the back seat. Even though it is attached to a harness and not a neck collar, the shorter version would have made the dog uncomfortable until I could get to a place to stop and get her back onto the seat. My dog is a 10 lb chihuahua. Very happy to have the longer length!

I've bought one for multiple cars and now getting one for my mom's vehicle. Pretty durable and thick enough my crazy mutt hasn't bothered to chew through it. (she chewed through a different brand in two bites) Keeps Miss Hyperactive from bouncing out the window. The only I have to be careful of is a couple of times she's unbuckled herself so I make sure the release button is turned over or tucked into the seat so she can't step on it. But if you don't have a crazy dog, probably not an issue. I also often use a harness with it instead of clipping it to her collar. Feels a bit safer...

The seatbelt itself is okay but the package came with zero instructions, not even pictures.What decent company makes something these days without instructions? Even if you get a Happy Meal Prize, it comes with instructions. Yes, it's fairly easy to figure out how to adjust this, but why not instructions that at least say you must have your dog in a harness with this contraption. I'm sure a lot of people will figure it's fine to attach to their dog's collar and not put the dog's harness on it, in which case the dog can be seriously hurt.This is America after all, people can sue for anything. You would think at the very least they would be smart enough to put in instructions to prevent lawsuits!

Very good product and seller. My husband takes one of our dogs, a 75-lb Plott Hound named Pearl, for rides in the car almost daily. He's retired so he can do that sort of thing! Before we started using this seat belt attachment that clips to her harness, he had to drive very slowly because of holding onto Pearl's leash while he's driving so she wouldn't jump out of the car window. And of course, you have to keep the window rolled down when going for doggie rides! This is a very sturdy attachment to the car's seat belt that keeps Pearl from jumping around too much and keeps her in the car and not through the window.

I am ordering my second one of these tonight. It works great and secures my pudgy little spaniel in her seat, with plenty of room to get to the window, and to lie between the front seats of the car. The reason I need another one is because said spaniel decided to chew almost through the belt while my husband went in to the store. So this one will be sprayed with a chew repellant (bitter apple) before we use it! But it is a really good quality product and gives a lot of peace of mind when traveling.

I bought this for my Aussie who was 4 months old. I connected it to his harness. It just ripped in two. I had it sewn but didn't trust the integrity. Do not be deceived.

Very good quality. Haven't actually used it yet but compared it to our other dog seat belt strap and this is far superior. Our old one is still good and is 4 years old and still has a few years wear in it and of comparable price so I have no doubt this will last twice as long. Also like the metal part where you adjust it compared to our old one which is plastic. I've taken a photo of our old one next to this new one. I wouldn't bother buying one that is less cost as our other one which cost £4.99 snapped after 2 years so it's a false economy.
