Alderwood Fine Grain Smoked Gourmet Sea Salt in Glass Jar with Cork - 6.5 oz

I discovered this item through a recipe for dark chocolate pistachio smoked sea salt cookies on Joy The Baker's website.I got this salt last week, and it is ADDICTING! What a wonderful flavor. Also, because it is SO NICELY packaged, I will DEFINITELY be purchasing more as gifts. The glass jar is a beautiful shape and a perfect weight. I will be back to purchase the coarse version of this salt (I purchased the fine), which I know will be a great addition in my pantry. I cannot wait to try more items from Artisan Salt!This smoked salt seems to be great on ANYTHING! It's great for barbecuing, and I've also put it on eggs (including hard boiled!), in guacamole, on bacon... YUMMM!

I started using smoked salts a few years ago, mostly on fish and chicken when grilling. This particular brand is finely ground and not quite as strong as some of the others, which means I use it on everything, even my eggs in the morning. If you are new to flavored/smoked salts, this is a good one to start with. Also beautiful packaging.

If you like the taste of BBQ and/or smoked foods the alderwood smoked salt is a must. It is expensive but worth it. The Chardonnay smoked salt is not as flavorful as the alderwood a little bit goes a long way.

Strong smoke flavor, either you really like this salt a lot or you really don't!! Love it as a finishing salt on steaks!

This salt imbues foods with a wonderfully smoky flavor! Like the title suggests, I sprinkle a little bit on scrambled eggs, and I also use it as a rub for roast chicken. Salt naturally seals moisture in and makes the skins nice and crunchy, but this smoked salt also fills the entire kitchen with a delicious smoky smell that automatically brings folks to the dining table. And the delectable flavor in the meat is nearly beyond words. Yum..... I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.Great stuff.
