I love this product not only for its looks but also because it serves a very practical and useful purpose. it helps protect the trans oil cooler from all kinds of flying road debris. It looks good, easy to install and adds a nice finished look to the front of your truck. It's also American made and that's a big plus! Also, another quick note. It does not affect your trans oil cooler's ability to keep the trans oil cool. You can put that worry aside.

I don't write reviews as a general rule - I expect things to be as advertised. Unfortunately in these days, that is too often not true.HOWEVER, this installs like a dream, and is exactly as advertised for my 2017 2500HD Duramax. I installed in about 15 minutes (would have been 10, but I decided it was easier to use a ratcheting box end wrench instead of my wobble head 3/8" drive with socket). Bolt the brackets on, then screw in the allen head screws to put the plate in place. SIMPLE. And you don't have to remove anything, it can all be done from the front of the pickup. Done.Best thing is - when the plate gets rock chips in it (inevitable), it can be EASILY removed to clean up, and repaint with whatever you want. Or, if you have the materials - powder coat it again. Paint is cheaper and easier, however,5 stars for this item. I left this review since it was so easy and quick to install, and is made of quality materials.

This is a Must for for 2018 duramax. I noticed the factory left an opening at the front of the truck under the grill exposing the transmission radiator just above the license plate. After only 8k miles on my new truck I noticed the radiator fins had crushed or dented from rocks getting in there at highway speeds. I thought after 100k miles I would need to replace the radiator at the rate it was being dented. My wife got me this for Christmas. Its not 100% protection against rocks but I know it will block probably 50% - 60% while still allowing air to flow. It installed in about 20 min. Super easy and no drilling needed. Just a small wrench and an allen wrench. Love the look and the fact it’s quality and heavy duty. Good gift from the wife. :)

The grill works and looks great. However, had few issue. It was missing a bolt, no bueno. Now for those fix’n to purchase this product. You may be forced to buy more U-clips and bolts, my Chevy had pre drilled holes. Both upper and lower on the passenger side was slightly too far for the supplied U- clips to set and be able to screw in the bolts. I’m talking maybe a heavy 1/16 of an inch. I found the slightly longer U-clip at Autozone in the assorted pack. So, make sure all your U- clips set right and bolts fit. So you’ll know how many you need to replace if GM / Chevy drilled in wrong place. Also, you may need to place the grill over your knee and bend the grill just a little so the holes match up.
