It’s great! Glad I got this over the door buddy which I actually also bought but my 3 year old figured it out! And ate up and made messes of ice cream sandwiches in my carpet! Yes carpet! I bought these products to keep my doors shut around the house so my toddler couldn't open them. They work great! With that said, an adult could easily ripe these off the wall.

I have a drawer in my kitchen where I keep medicine, including potentially dangerous medications. It’s behind a gate, but it still didn’t feel safe from my toddler. Then I found this, and I’m so glad I did. These medications are now fully secure and out of reach of my toddler (in case she suddenly figures out how a gate works).

I use these locks to prevent air bnb clients from using certain things. Although they do a good job they do have their issues. Sometimes for some reason certain locks won’t stay glued down which defeats the purpose. Also another issue is I bough another set of locks similar to these from another brand and store and the keys to those open the locks to these. In summary these are good but certainly not fool proof and I certainly wouldn’t trust these locks for something valuable.

My children ransacked my kitchen like a pair of ravenous raccoons, so I had to get some sort of lock. These fit perfect on the door, and while it is annoying to constantly need to grab a key Everytime I want a cold drink, it’s worth it to not wake up to wasted groceries and giant messes. After the first night I started noticing that while mostly everything was there usually we would be a coke or two short, and the lock wasn’t getting relooked. I assumed in his haze of sleep while getting ready for work my significant other was just forgetting. And on the fourth day, I woke up to the sound of my kids (M 6, F 4) using their best stage whisper: “grab me a coke too. Quick before mommy wakes up”. I snuck to my door and watched my oldest child using my five in one from my previous job to open the lock and grab a coke for himself and his sister. In short, the locks are sturdy but with enough ingenuity a clever 6 year old CAN get in there. I have now put locks on everything and hidden all objects capable of picking the lock. My next step is just moving the fridge to the roof 🥴

So I bought these because my grandpa has stage six dementia. On top of wondering, he also has odd moments where he just goes through the fridge, pulls everything out, and leaves it out on the counter to rot. Everytime we come over, we had spoiled milk sitting out or rotting meat. Grandpa gets meals often, but he seems to get very bored and cause trouble, or he forgets he ate.I installed these and they worked beautifully up until he found out he can just pull super hard to get the door to open. I added some Gorilla Glue super glue to the adhesive and it works like a charm. I can't even pull it open with both hands! Grandpa can't raid the fridge now and my wallet is thankful for not having to replace groceries so often!I can see how this would work for little children with the original adhesive. But if you are like me and trying to keep your dementia riddled grandpa from raiding the fridge, these locks are going to go well with Gorilla Glue. They need the extra strength. Seriously, throw some in your cart along with these locks, that way you can get it all done in one go instead of waiting the hard way like I had to.Also, to remove the adhesive, just dab some nail polish and it should remove the super glue. With dementia, child locks are temporary, so don't be afraid to apply a good amount of glue to get these locks working at peak potential. The nail polish will undo all the glue when you're ready to uninstall.
