Lidocaine has saved the sanity of nearly every person who has had a fissure. A tiny papercut like tear that is agony because of where it is located. Any person who has had a fissure will tell you that life is literally miserable and that healing is a long and difficult journey. While this particular lidocaine is rated at 4% (the highest OTC you can get right now is 5%) it works sooo well for me. The sheer amount (133 grams) is 9 times what i got at my local drugstore when i paid for a measly 15 gram tube that I blew through in days. I can tell you they ripped me off to the tune of 25 dollars for that puny little thing. Is this runny compared to an ointment? Well yes it is. BUT I have noticed that this formulation absorbs into my skin quickly and begins to work within 2 minutes of application. When I use lidocaine ointment that has petroleum I then have to worry that I end up walking around with a big greasy stain on my clothing. Ointment does not absorb into the skin but it sure looks great staining the backside of my pants! Walking around in public not knowing your looking completely oblivious to greasy stains in the rear. No thanks. So it is runnier than an ointment but the cap on this helps keep the mess of dispensing down to something manageable. It literally has no smell that I can detect, no one is going to think there goes grandma reeking of bengay. Take the advice of someone whose very sanity depends on the efficacy of this, it works.

First of all let me say that the value of this pain cream versus purchasing it at a box store, is much better priced. Pretty much half the cost as you would normally pay. The only reason I gave it in general 3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️, is because when you have chronic pain it will work for you especially the first few times you use it. Definitely dulls the pain, but after a week or so I feel your body gets used to it because the pain control fades over time. I do still use it when I get hit with a ping of deep knee pain because it warms my knee and gives me enough relief until my ibuprofen 800 kicks in. I found that if I apply it and wrap it right after it seems to penetrate into my knee. I’m just sharing my experience with it because pain is nothing to joke about especially when it’s chronic and I am having surgery but it’s elective and I choose to hold off on it until a later date because of what’s going on right now. Also I found if you switch back and forth between two different lidocaine pain creams, you will get more out of this kind of product. My order came within one day and was in all original packaging! And you can’t beat the price for this amount of pain cream. I definitely recommend this product just know that the warming effect is the most positive thing about Aspercreme with Lidocaine. There is no gross smell either I have that 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ In my review. I just wanted to be honest. I am satisfied all and all.

Yes, it works as many other reviewers have reported. However, in my first application I put a heavy coat of it on my very pained leg. Please follow the Directions and put only a thin coat on the area of most pain. I'm on a blood thinner, due to Afib. I had an accident which caused my left leg to bleed-out to the point my entire leg was black. That put me into the ER of my local hospital. The ER doc and a Orthopedic doc both told me that it would take months for the blood to disapate in my leg. They gave me no pain meds. So, the pain was keeping me awake at night. That's why my first coat was put on heavy to sleep. Yes, I did get fast relief. But fours into the night I was awaken by the Aspercreme losing its effect suddenly. I was in awful pain from the sudden awakening. The second night, I only used a thin coat on my ankle, where the pain was the worst. It took awhile longer to ease the overall pain enough to sleep. So, this stuff is great, if you follow the Directions. P.S. I'm now in my third month of healing. But this stuff helps me through the most painful time.

I have used this product for over a year now. It has no odor and is cream, so not greasy. I use it to get over the hump of waiting for my restless leg issues (every night)to stay calm until the prescription medication for restless legs kicks in. For whatever reason putting it on my large joints (knees, hips) seems to at least temporarily stop the first twinges of restless legs before it goes out of control. also, works well on shoulder joint (arthritis) when I have over done it in garden. I have tried bio-freeze, and other topical pain killers and this works best for me. ow I have recently found aspercreme w/ lidocaine at my favorite store with red circles for $3 cheaper...same size, same product. Not hard to figure where I will purchase it from now on. wherever you choose to buy it, it is worth it. Keep in mind, that pick up at a store without having to go in, can be done the same day or next. I have found prime a bit slow on orders lately, but I also know with COVID many people do choose to totally stay at home & amazon is still their go to store.
