Very satisfying purchase. Great model.
This is definitely a great model. There are other more expensive models on Amazon, but for the price, this is a great value. I'm not sure any others would be worth the extra price, this has everything you could want in a display model.The camo choice they chose is very good. It's hard to find an appealing MiG-21 livery, and this is classic and good. The paint is thick and solidly and confidently applied.I love the fuel tanks and the missiles. They are confidently modeled and mounted. The body is all metal, and it fits together very flush and tightly. It's just really great. There is moderate detail on the panels. You can see the anti-surge door and the periscope on the cockpit.Even the nosecone is in accurate position.The detail on the landing gear is a real sign of quality in display models and this is exceedingly clean and detailed. They aren't chunky or fake. The gear doors are realistically small and thin.It's about 8 inches long or a little less. It's pretty heavy so make sure to assemble the mount perfectly and never ever play with or drop it.I bought this to see if I wanted to collect model planes, and I will definitely buy more from Tang Dynasty.

I collect pre-assembled scale models of aircraft, ships, armored vehicles, movie merchandise, etc. This is a quality piece. I previously purchased a silver version of this Mig-21 (with North Vietnamese markings). It was so spectacular with two shades of silver that I had to get one of these. The details are well to my liking and it is sturdy. The only issue I found was that the stand raises the model too high. I keep my collection in acrylic display boxes which are around 5" in height. I ordered a special 8"x8" cube for the silver Mig-21 but displayed this one parked among other weapons systems of middle eastern wars. I could never paint, assemble, place decals, etc, as well as this. It is spectacular.
