Five Minute Mum: Give Me Five: Five minute, easy, fun games for busy people to do with little kids

Had a lovely time reading through this during naptime this morning - they are all genuinely five minutes to set up and I could do any of them with things I already have in the house! Teddy is still a bit small for most of them (he's only just one) which I knew he would be when I ordered, but they have given me some great ideas already for things we will start to do this year and for many years to come! I love the idea of being able to do something fun and engaging (and yes educational) and ease the mum guilt without spending hours on fancy Pinterest treasure baskets or multicoloured sand! Thank you so much for a great book, it is also much bigger and nicer quality than I expected so well worth the money! x

I'll be honest and say I'm not naturally maternal. I never liked kids before having my own - so having to entertain a small person is very alien to me! So this book is AMAZING if you're not naturally crafty or creative! I've only read bits so far but it's all seems so genius and simple! Makes you say; why didn't I think of that?! If makes me feel less guilty for not having the brain power or energy to entertain my daughter after a sleepless night. And it's not designed to give you a moment's peace, there's also games to encourage interaction and engagement with your little ones. Brilliant.

I’ve been a fan of five minute mum for a while and followed her on Instagram. Her book is even better. So useful to have something in your hand to flick through. Some brilliant ideas for young kids - and the proof of the pudding is when your kid asks if they can play one of your games today! Makes me feel like a better mum. Tea consumption has increased. All round awesomeness.

I have 2 boys (1 & 3). My book arrived yesterday and I was so excited to try a game straight away. I picked the scavenger hunt and pretended that one of their soft toys had been taken and we had to try and find it by following the clues. My older boy absolutely LOVED this! So much so he wanted to do it over and over again. It did only take about 5 minutes to set up and mg little boy got so much enjoyment out of it. We have tried a couple of other games too which my younger one got involved in, pass the parcel with jigsaw pieces being one of them. This was also a huge hit. Such simple ideas but very effective and things I would never think to do myself. Thank you so much for your fab ideas Five Minute Mum! They have made my children very happy and excited and they have made me feel like I am doing a good job! I would definitely recommend this book to any parent of young children!

This woman is the most real person that I have never met on instagram. She is 5 minute mum and she does exactly what the name say with a healthy dose of cream eggs and chocolate oranges. When I got the book, I was surprised by it's size and the amount of content! Brilliant value for money. It's going to keep us going for a while! And it's going to be a brilliant asset to my home. Even though I work in education, sometimes you just want to have fun with your kids and this book is definitely going to help me with this. My little boy saw it and wanted a game straight away... he even flicked through and picked one. Can't wait to find some favourites.
