I don't get the hype with this book it's ok

The quality is great and really beautiful illustrations

This might be a kids picture book, but it moved me to tears. When I find myself worrying about the world we are raising our children in, this book gives me hope. I love Oliver Jeffers' books, but this has become my favourite of all.Quite simply everyone young and old should have a copy of this book.

Such an incredibly beautiful book.Having just read it for the first time it really has taken my breath away, just incredible illustrations and poignant words.I cannot wait to get reading this with my daughters (aged 1 & 4), I think they will love it and I just know how much pleasure we’ll get from snuggling up at bedtime reading this book and talking about it together as they grow. I look forward to reading it with them as they get older too, seeing them understand different aspects of it a little more.I can’t see this book spending long on our bookshelf at all.I would highly recommend this book as a gift for any aged child or adult. I am planning on buying another copy as a new baby gift and writing a little message inside.

A great book for curious minds- doesn’t answer many questions but gets kids asking them. Every page isn’t a masterpiece but there are several that are. There are a few pages that are a bit wasted like he spends 4 pages suggesting that the reader find someone to get her/his questions answered. But there are a few pages like the one underwater and another showing where we fit in the solar system that are so breathtaking that it deserves 5 stars.

Oliver you have done it again.This book is beautiful.This is not a story book.This is a piece of art and a talking point.I cannot recommend this enough.There is so much to look at and talk about with your child.Just buy it.I’m in love with it.

My kids and I absolutely love ALL of Jeffers's books, every one of them, and this one is pretty special. As there isn't an actual story to follow, I can read it with my 3 and my 6 year olds, and both enjoy it differently.
