Disappointing
I really wanted to love this book but unfortunately it fell a bit short for me. There is a lot of ‘scare-mongering’ around what could go wrong for girls but I found there was quite little in terms of practical and tangible advice in terms of what actions you can take to prevent bad outcomes. The book also offers a lot of generalizations and has a very traditional view. I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone not in a ‘mum, dad and child’ set up as it could come across a little offensive.

Hit and Miss
Like any book of this nature, exactly what you get out of it will depend on what you already know and what your views are. My husband and I both read it and feel that the picture painted is unnecessarily gloomy and that most of the issues highlighted can be avoided by having a deep and honest relationship with your children. It does give a good summary of several important topics, and the advice tends to be practical, mostly.

Good read
Some good information, would prefer more on younger age but it is advertised correct aging!
