AmeriColor (Gold) - Food Colouring, Gold Soft Gel Paste.2220ml

I recently made a rainbow cake for my granddaughter...6 layers, each a color of the rainbow. The colors did not bake out, but stayed true to their colors. We received many "ohs and ah's" about the vibrant colors in her cake. I made sure the cake batter was the color I wanted - I added multiple drops on some of the flavors - and there was no taste of the coloring in her cake. Very impressed with these. I've told several people about this brand.

A tan-yellow color? I was really disappointed in the color. I tried using a very little bit of color and then again with more. I ended covering it up with snading sugars! Not a great deal.

This is fairly nice food coloring but it is not gold, it is more of a mustard color. That being said, I used it to color fondant for a holy have grenade cake. I added gold luster dust to the mix and it looked great.If you use it alone it will be more yellow/mustard but add edible glitter or luster dust and it will look great.A little goes a long way, add a small amount slowly.It does cause melting candy to cease, do not use to color white chocolate without adding a little vegetable shorting as well.
