Being a tutor of children who require a boost to their English skills, I have found this series and the workbook in particular, a useful aid for consolidating what is taught in the classroom. The extracts are intelligent, but instead of the usual comprehensive style questions, there are tasks set which involve thinking processes, plus the use and practice of ordinary English grammar/vocabulary.
