As someone with severe dry eye and corneal abrasions, I am happy to find a cheaper version of Muro 128 ointment. I go through more than one tube per month, and this ointment is the least expensive of all the generics I have found. When applied liberally, my eyelids are not “stuck” to my eye when I wake up - an unpleasant experience to say the least! The only downside is that you may have “grease spots” on pillowcase, but that could happen with any ointment.

I suffer from recurring corneal abrasion and this ointment is an absolute life saver. I was recommended by an ophthalmologist to use Muro 128 ointment every night to keep my eye from drying out and tearing. I used Muro 128 for many years, but found this alternative and never turned back. It is the exact same formula for roughly 1/3 of the price. According to Amazon I have purchased this 3-pack 37 times and I don't regret it one bit. If you have an eye injury or recurring issue, this is the best you can get for the price!

My eye doctors have recommended a number of different eyedrops to relieve my dry eye symptoms, and this product has proved to be so effective that it is now the only drops I use. When I first used it, it would sting my eyes for a few seconds, but that was a small discomfort compared to the relief it offered. Although this is a non-prescription medication, my pharmacies do do stock it on their shelves so I have to wait in line at the counter to request it. Even then, they usually do not stock it, and I have to place a special order, which means going back to the pharmacy the next day or two. It has been so much easier and cheaper to order this online.

This was ordered by my eye doc for my dry eye disease and works great when applied every night. I find this expensive for an OTC medication but it is still cheaper than my local CVS and certainly cheaper than getting the prescription preparation.

I have recurrent corneal erosion and have to use an ointment at night before sleep in the affected eye. I was hoping to find an alternative to Muro which is getting harder and harder to find, and I found this one. I'm so grateful that I did.Pros: Thick ointment, convenient (small) tube size, this multipack gives extra valueCons: as with any thick eye ointment, sometimes it curls up against the opening instead of dispensing straight out. That's not a fault of the product, just physics.A fair warning, if you're not used to products like this, they can sting at first the first few uses, especially if you're having a flare up. You will likely have greasy skin under your eye(s) after waking up, as well as residue on your eye mask or pillow.

Equal to Muro at a reduced price. Worth the purchase and to get more for your money.
