Too little among other issues
For one, if you have a pet betta, they should be in a 3 gallon or larger tank with a filter and heater. Keeping them in something this small is just cruel. I breed bettas and I separate the males and stick them in 1/2 gallon containers until they are sold or bred. I thought I could use a few of them to put the young ones on display in my living room. They turned out to be too small, I got the impression that they would be a little larger. They are hard to clean, and hard to remove the betta because only a small piece of the top is removable. Sure you can open the valve and let stuff flow out the bottom, and it works, but sometime you want to clean a little more thoroughly. Plus since is so shallow, there is only so much water you can change at one time, and still have room for the betta. The valve that allows water to come out sticks out on one side in an obtrusive manner. Plainly obvious if you are placing it somewhere where both sides are visible. It is so shallow, that if you put any gravel in the bottom the betta has zero room to move up and down. This is further complicated by the fact that you can't fill it all the way up and because the betta would have no where to come up to breathe. It is seriously overpriced for what is essentially a plastic box.Buy one of those cheap 3, 5, 10 gallon tanks with a filter. Putting a betta in one of these or a bowl is exactly like keeping your dog in a small kennel 24 hours a day. Worse actually because the dog isn't poisoned by its own excrement, unless I suppose if you don't clean out the kennel either.

Deceptive AND a Waste Of Money
I must have been the only person that fell for these overpriced units. The picture shows a stack, yet you only receive one unit for 25 dollars plus 8.22 shipping. I bought one, then was stupid enough to order enough for the rest of my Betta fish. The 8 dollar shipping seemed fair for a block of 6 that are shown but for one unit!!! These were also very small and a mess to clean. I gave them to my Fish dealer for free just to get rid of them. He told me that he sold the Betta on display, but not the units, until he began giving them away. So I blew 200 dollars on this crap. Not including the fish. I feel embarrassed even admitting this but am swallowing my pride to protect you from this company swallowing your money.

look for something larger...
Amazon description stated "measures 12-inch length by 8-inch width by 6-inch height" but it is really tiny at only 8x4x4. I am returning it because it is too small to house a betta fish long term....gave it 1 star xtra because it seemed really well made. over engineered actually
