Works great. It is pretty scratched up now but that might be from mackerel.

I’ve caught 2 flounder, redfish, and unfortunately several lizard fish on this so far.

I have not used this one yet but I cannot wait for spring fishing

I fish for Japanese Seabass at night around docklights in Southern Mainland Japan and this is my go-to bait for getting their attention. The ‘pilchard’ coloration emits a unique combo of flash & color under artificial lights and the lure’s side-to-side action enhances those characteristics. Fish move from a long way out to inspect this bait…especially when you add a few erratic twitches of the rod during the retrieve. I occasionally get a few refusals in clear water, but fish will follow it a long, long way before they turn off in those clear-water conditions. Testament to how lively this lure swims. Most of the time these ‘snook-like’ predators just hammer this particular pattern! That X-Rap flash is a game-changer for predators with keen eye sight and who are reliant on visual cues, even in low light conditions. Part of what I love most about this lure is that there are no rattles in it. Additionally, the lure swims between 2-4ft under the surface (depending on your retrieve speed), it is superbly balanced and the ease in being able to cast it make this a must have lure in the box. One note: if you’re fishing with the smaller versions of this lure for bigger fish or lifting any fish from the height of a pier, I recommend switching out to size 2 or 1/0 in-line hooks. I do prefer the motion of the lure with trebles, but not at the expense of bending hooks and losing fish. Overall, this is an incredible lure for my personal application.
