Barry MGelly Hi Shine Nail Paint, Black Forest, 10 ml

I really love this super shiny black from Barry M. Another great polish to add to my collection. The polish is a good consistency, the brush is a good size and it applies smoothly and easily. When used with a base & top coat it lasts well and any chips can be covered with a top up. If you’re looking for a high shine nail polish that looks professionally done (I’m not great at painting my own nails and still always get asked if they’re fake or where I got them done!) then Barry M Gelly polish range is perfect for you! I can’t wait to get more colours!

Ok, this has literally just came through my door 5 minutes ago. I just had to try it out straight away. Where has this black nail polish been all my life? I've been hunting for the perfect black nail polish for years! Looks like my hunt is finally over. I would definitely recommend this product. Only downfall is the shape of the brush.

I love BarryM varnish, I'm an avid collector of there polishes.I absolutely adore this black forrest polish. it goes on smoothly (I really love that there varnish brushes are broader that really helps with polish application) the drys relatively fast and it looks just like a gel polish.The price is also fantastic for such a rad polish.Tips: ALWAYS use a base coat when applying varnish to your nails, when you are done adding your colour coat use a decent top coat to help prevent nail chipping etc. No polish is 100% chip proof but a decent top coat will only help in the long run.Also make sure to prepare your nails ahead of time, take the time to file and buff them before polish application. dirty nails or nails that haven't been given a little TLC will lend to chipping and the polish not really having any staying power.All in all a BIG five out of five for me.

This nail polish is brilliant, I have used it before and it always goes on well and the colour is really saturated, even with just one coat on. Also arrived really quickly, despite everything that is going on at present with the lockdown, etc.My only complaint, however, is a big one.The packaging that it was delivered in is ridiculous, totally unnecessary and wasteful.A disproportionately large box, plus a load of paper inside, when a reusable jiffy bag or some such would have been more than adequate, and far more environmentally friendly.For this reason I will not be ordering again, but nothing to do with the product itself. If the packaging issue gets sorted, then I cannot recommend highly enough.

I have a number of Barry M polishes as they offer a really good selection of fashionable colours, I decidedthat I wished to try a black polish for the winter months, however I found that this product takes muchlonger to dry and you require patience as it remains tacky and can smudge easily if you do not wait forsay 30 minutes, I have also found that Barry M have changed the brush which in the older bottles wasfine and narrow to a broader brush which does not help the application of the polish. The polishrequires a clear basecoat, two applications of colour, and another clear topcoat to prevent chippingthough the final effect is good I am disappointed and would not purchase again.bluebird
