Great recipes to go along with Fast Diet (AFD)
I got this to go along with the Fast Diet to have a larger variety of recipes. The recipes look delicious and easy! There are many that are in the calories range of 200-300, only going up to the higher 500 calorie counts if you are adding other side dishes. I think this will help with the fast days because between the two books there are quite a variety of meal ideas. It seems to be well formatted and has a cute, colorful drawing here and there. I don't believe there are any meal pictures, if there are I haven't come across them yet. The soups and main dishes sound really good. I didn't even notice at first, but there are also salads and a nice section of desserts. In addition to that, she even covers some special recipes for the holidays. This was a great buy for $2.99 and I am very pleased with it. It is very user friendly and breaks down the calorie count for the recipes.

Fantastic
I first got this book through prime. Then decided I liked it so much I would splurge and buy the 2.99 book!Every recipe I have made from the book is great and adds a nice twist to my old menu for my family. Usually each recipe is tailored to 2 servings, so I have to double the recipes. No big deal. Each meal also comes with ideas for sides and how many calories the whole meal would be. I love that there is a holiday and desserts section too! My husband and I are calorie counting and this has helped tremendously! Makes dinner time more creative and interesting while not sacrificing flavor! If you are watching calories or just trying to eat healthier, you wont regret getting this book!

Good resource & good food
I like this book a lot. I have made several recipes; eat a portion, and divide the remainder up in portions and freeze them for a future 500 or less calorie meal. Even my husband enjoyed the vegetable soup. On the "every-other-day-diet,it is a terrific resource for making a complete entree that others can eat as well with a couple additions to the meal for them.I bought it used and it was in near perfect condition.

Good starter book for the 5:2 diet.
The book has just what the title claims, 100 meals under 500 calories. The 'main dish' is given as a recipe, and side dishes are suggested that keep the calorie count under the 500 limit. The suggestions were helpful to me. When I'm making a new dish I tend to concentrate on it so much that I forget about side dishes until the last minute. The recipes I've tried so far have been good, especially the meatloaf. A lot of seafood recipes, though, and my husband isn't a seafood fan. I've supplemented my low-cal recipe collection with diabetic and American Heart Association cookbooks, which also list calorie counts for their recipes.

Good variety ,calorie counts, easy to substitute ingredients
She has a nice variety of recipes in the book. I like that there is a per serving calorie count. It's easy too substitute ingredients in a recipe, i.e, chicken for pork or substitute one fish for another in a recipe. If you have any experience cooking, you'll know when you can do this. If you don't have experience, don't try it with fish. Enjoy all the varying tastes in this book.

Good suggestions
Most of the recipes include simple items, which is nice since I don't really cook and I appreciated the variety. Even if I did not use the full menu as it is outlined I did get a lot of ideas from the information. Plus the price was great!

I was looking for something else.
I think the recipes are good but I needed recipes for one person and most of these are for 4 and 8 servings. I am working with intermittent fasting and am looking for lower calorie recipes than 500 per meal. I misread the title. I might be able to use it in the future but not at this time.

Great Cooking Meals
I like this cook book because it not only gives you good recipes you can also take out and add other things and still make it lite and taste great.Love it

A few new ideas
Mostly rehashed recipes but quite useful, non-the-less.I may be expecting too much but would have liked some illustrations.One more word required for what?

I love this book...lots of really great low calorie meals....would recommend it to all.... when you just can't think of anything to make!!!!
