How is this so cheap?!
Honestly, how is this so cheap? I work as part of a videography and media production crew (SIDETRACKed Productions check us out), as a sound producer and editor, however, I started working in assisting a photographer, (BlueRadical) and shooting some behind the scenes stuff.I bought the Sony A6000 as a compact, easy to carry and brilliant shooter, and decided to accompany it with a prime lens for portrait style images. Being on a tight budget I looked at 35mm/50mm lenses for the e-mount system of Sony, and got a 35mm as the way the camera processes and crops it basically makes it a 50mm lens. The Neewer 35mm shoots some outstanding high-light and mid-light stills as well as video, though you have to be capable of following the action yourself as the lens does not auto-focus and as the camera goes down to f/1.7 it is very good in low light also.I would highly recommend this lens for anyone who is getting started, wanting to learn or to just have a cheap lens!

ME ENCANTAEs un lente excelente para retratos y sobre todo si tienes una Sony con sensor apsc, tiene una calidad asombrosa por el precio y super practico por el tamaño. Me encanta que sea de metal y el anillo de enfoque no es el mejor pero es bastante útil de usar. Si estás pensando en comprarlo o no, yo soy fan de los lentes manuales, mucho menor precio y al ser manual tienes más control de todo en la escenaLes anexo algunas fotos echas con este lente y una Sonya6000

My new magic lens
I love the effect I get shooting with this lens. It has enough vignetting to get close to a 'toy camera' look (including being soft in the corners), the whites look creamy, and the blacks give great contrast. A great bargain at this price.

Great fun. Tad hard to get used to at first, but once mastered it is great.

your best off buying a vintage lens of similar focal length ...
I bought this for my A6000, your best off buying a vintage lens of similar focal length or stick with the Sony lens. This is an okay lens. At times it can be great, but it's hit and miss. Not that sharp and it's got a funny colour cast fo my liking. For the price you can't complain.
