Sort of Coal - Kuro Activated Charcoal Shampoo (500ml / 16.9 oz)

It's really clean and nourishing, but I do have a little trouble getting past the smell. It's not a bad smell, just too prominent for me. It's very much like you've been sitting in a campfire setting. That being said, the product itself is very good! Makes you feel squeaky clean.

Quite impressed. I have recently been having some scalp issues: acne and dandruff. Both have gone away. The dandruff disappeared after 2 uses, the acne cleared up after a week of use. I don't mind the smoky smell at all. It's nice to smell something besides that fake flower smell you get from most other shampoos.

I was really apprehensive to try this because of the smell, it's very strong and I agree with other reviewers that it is like a BBQ smell. After trying it I noticed that it definitely stays with you for a bit- but is way less strong than in the bottle. I didn't feel like I needed to wash my hair the next day, it was still very clean feeling and not greasy at all unlike usual. The smell had, by then, dissipated pretty much completely. Also, it didn't leave the smell on anything like my clothes/pillowcase/shower/towel. I felt that, and this is also during winter by the way, that it may have made my scalp a bit dry. I think it is best used in moderation, or for those times when your hair feels really greasy and dirty. If lather is of concern to you- this does lather. It does a great job of deep cleaning and after trying it in conjunction with my conditioner, found that this markedly decreased any leftover odor and helped with dryness as well. I love how natural it is and if you're looking for a natural shampoo that really gets the extra oil out this will definitely work.

I really wanted to love this shampoo, but as soon as I opened it, I was put off by the smell! Can't describe it, but not at all what I want to smell like after showering! It lathered well and left my hair feeling squeaky clean, which was nice. But the smell lingered for far too long. I received a generously sized sample that would have been good for several more uses, but I couldn't bring myself to use it after the first time, because the smell was so bad. Men might like this more, but it was definitely not for me!

Wow, if only I could get over the smokey smell it left in my hair. It made my hair feeling nice and thick, but I couldn't get over the smell. It took me a few washes to get the smell completely out

Sort of Coal: Kuro Shampoo, off the bat I was curious the product is black like charcoal and smells like a barbecue. I was hesitant to try it due to the smell and color, I was worried the smell would linger but to my surprised it went away after I started drying my hair. But I noticed after my first wash my hair looked cleaner and shiny. Mind you I did not want to use any other products with the shampoo to give it a true review. On that note I will continue using the Kuro Shampoo.

I received a sample of this. When I first opened it I was like, what is this smell? It smelled really weird.. I guess I'm used to flowery shampoos. But it cleaned my hair really well, it felt like it just stripped my hair to my natural state!
