Isadora Moon Goes to School

This series of books are brilliantly well written and illustrated. My 6 year old received the first book for Christmas and was instantly hooked. We have bought (and read) most of the rest of the series since. The books are engaging my daughter to read parts as she develops her reading skills, but also interesting for me to read aloud to her too. Isadora is a great likeable character. The books are fun, explore the idea of being different and being yourself. I love the fact that she is inspiring my daughter to read. They are perfect for children who are gaining confidence to read and need something to capture their imagination to get them through a book without it feeling like a chore.

Most of my Year 2 class seemed to like it. Some girls in particularly really liked it and wanted to borrow it. One said she had been looking for more in the series in her local library, so I’m glad it inspired more reading.I am a huge book fan and personally I felt the story line was disappointing. It didn’t really end. I would like more substance in the story, even if the target audience is young children it needs to be way less basic.Good characters, setting and has potential but not what I consider a good read.

My 5 year old loved this book, it's so well written and really captures the imagination. Great novel for younger readers.

A fun and witty book about a half vampire, half fairy little girl who is just trying to fit in but only seems to find herself stuck in-between both worlds and not knowing where she belongs. Filled with chaos and craziness which will make you laugh out loud. Beautifully illustrated and with a clear message of loving yourself for who you are. A much recommended read.

I bought this for my goddaughter when she started school, I will be buying her more of this range as its so cute and she is a quirky kid. I love bats and she loves to have similar things.
