I wish it was softer but I like your product

In relatively recent reviews, its been noted that newer skeins are not matching older skeins. From what I understand, it's because Red Heart is having to resource places and people to manufacture the products (likely culprit: Miss Rona).Well, it holds true here. The color difference isn't big, but it *is* noticeable. If you're working a larger, monochrome project, you might want to get all new yarn so it matches up right. If you're doing small projects or using stripes or color blocks, you might be fine.As for me, I found that the (current) new Burgundy is a big lighter than my skein from a couple years ago, without missing any fullness of color. It has a bit of a shiny look. I'm crocheting a shawl, and I actually rather like how its turning out with the change halfway through.While my old yarn would have occasional "rough" spots in the yarn where the fibers seemed more tightly woven than the rest of the yarn, the current yarn hasn't shown any spots like that yet, and indeed seems softer overall! It's just as easy to work with, and the label's reminder on how to pull the inner string is, as always, appreciated.[Image ID: A red crocheted shawl, folded over. Alrighty so story time! Since its soon to be mothers day I have decided to put my knitting skills to the test and knit, a average looking blanket. So I went on a long search through the internet due to quarantine. I eventually stumbled apoun this brand of yarn, I found it convincing enough. So I ordered. When it arrived I couldn't contain my excitement. But the first thing I did was show off the yarn to my mother and made her rate the softness. She was pleased with it. So I went to work at checking to make sure there weren't any obveous knots that you normally see when theres a clear aknowledgement of the yarn ending and having to tie it together to make the length requirement it gives itself. Lucky me, there were no knots! I have gotten lucky! So far working with the yarn has been amazing! I have no complaints! Although I feel I could get it for cheaper in places like Miachaels or Joan, but I don't want to go out during quarantine and deal with curbside pickup. I say this was worth the money.
