This hammer was advertised as being a new item. This is absolutely not a new hammer. It arrived tagged as being new but it dirty and scratched and clearly has had some significant use. The fact that this was advertised as being used and then arrived looking the way it did is completely dishonest and wrong. Stay away from this hammer and go to your local hardware store where you can buy a real new hammer. I wish I had.

The handle on this mini maul like tool has got to be the longest of any framing hammer ever made. Almost touches the ground while hanging from the tool belt hammer loop. Nice hammer for your average giant Philistine warrior named Goliath or Paul Bunyan type lumberjack. Others need not apply. I'm gonna keep it just for doing demo or fighting off zombies. Look elsewhere if you need a hammer to build something with cause this ain't it. Will stick with my 22 oz Estwing and 21 oz California framing hammers.Update: This has got to be the greatest demo hammer ever. Used it to knock apart some interior walls on a remodel and this hammer never backed down. Bumping this up to 4 stars for being such a great demo hammer.
