Macmillan Children's Books Cosmic

Loved this book when it was shortlisted for Carnegie and I read it with my kids. Have just bought a set for use with year 7. Looking forward to it. My kids are now 17-23 and they all still remember it fondly. Great balance of storyline, humour and poignant relationships.

Read as year 5-6 class text and they absolutely loved it. Most could read it independently. Not so good for comprehension questions as there isn't much inference needed in the authors writing style. The character and story is great.

I bought this book for my son as he had to study it in class. He enjoyed the book.It is a very usual story.

Brought this book as my class are doing it this term and what can I say but it's a must read for anyone that wants to go on an adventure while staying in the comfort of their own homes. Just a boy getting to go up into space..... What could possibly go wrong. Great book
