Important book in these hard times
I have been into the subject for a good few years so far, so there's nothing really earth shaking for me😉 but it's sure a necessary knowledge for the mainstream people who think breakfast cereal with no fat milk and a slice of brown toast is a healthy meal. And this kind of message should be repeated over and over again until it sinks in and everybody does low carb, even if on different levels (keto, moderate or liberal). That said, i also follow a few other low carb/keto doctors and websites, and have a few remarks.1. Glycemic index. The scale you quote states that GI of 55 still qualifies as low. Ok, borderline. It's really misleading, it's high AF. This should be generally changed, possibly up to a 30...2. Qualifing whole grains into quality carbohydrates... Well, as a loyal Wheat Belly follower, i cannot really agree. Grains simply don't belong to a human diet. Too many antinutrients that cannot be removed. And oats spike blood sugar considerably, and i remember them being on the list recommended by the French Diabetes Association (that was a few years ago).3. Red meat. You mention the World Cancer Research Fund and their recomendations. Didn't they lump together two categories? Unprocessed meats and processed one? Based on obsevational studies?Btw, said by a person that may lean towards carnivore in winter. I just see it's reasonable from the evolutionary standpoint.4. Vitamin D3. You mention NHS recommendation of 10 mcg (400IU) which is incredibly low. Why haven't they changed it yet? Add to it, if you buy your supplement in a supermarket or a certain chain, you'll get it in a tablet form, which is really poorly absorbed. And after reading a few reviews that complain about the size of the book, lack of recipes or meal plans, i see their point. I know the book was written in a hurry, and not 3verything can be done in such a short time, but newbies to the lifestyle should possibly be given some more info. References to low carb/keto sites/blogs and resources. Probably you have apps now, too.

Good Information.
A very interesting read about the true pandemic of obesity. Having read the book I have made a significant change to my diet and life style. I have dropped two stone (28lbs) and more than two inches off of my waste. My blood pressure is now running at optimum levels.
