Scholastic Tom Gates: Family, Friends and Furry Creatures

Great book!

This is my favourite so far.I'm an avid reader and disagree with comments about this being a book for kids who don't read. I'm disappointed to find out that there won't be another one in October as usual.This book is the 11th in the series and is all about Tom doing a class project. It's interesting that up until this book his second set of grandparents are never mentioned and I enjoyed learning about them but could easily guess the surprise at the end. The story about how his parents met is funny.I would recommend this book to all ages since I'm 12 and my brother who reads them to is 9 and my sister also enjoyed reading this book is 14!

I have bought it for my 7 year old boy. Overall he likes reading, I wanted to make a routine out of reading every evening, so I read my book and he reads his.This was his first proper book, he read it soooo quickly, as there are many drawn pictures and other images he went quickly through the pages, making him feel accomplished.He counts each page he reads and tries to impress his teacher :) by telling her each day how many pages he read.I would definitely recommend this book . And I'm planning to buy another one.

This was a gift for my friends daughter who loves reading. She's thrilled with it. Her reaction was, "it's got lots of pictures and not as many words but it looks fun. I'll give it a go". Although she's not read any others she was able to make sense of what's it's about. She's found it funny and makes her believe anything is possible.

My daughter really enjoyed the story and was fascinated by the illustrations and different fonts. Easily accessible for dyslexic children.

Bought for my grandchild as she has read the series and fantastic to see the delight on her face when she opened the package - sent so quickly too!
