Turning point in the rebellions
A Nation Under Our Feet book Three gets off to a bit of a shaky start. Shuri who had been lost into a limbo in a war before this series even started suddenly returns to her body and assumes her role as queen with no real explanation nor reaction. That being said the first real dent is made in the two rebellions wracking Wakanda. Prof. Changamire who taught his students that the people not the monarchy should rule the country, which gave inspiration to the insurgents realizes that his words only gave rise to a man, Tetu, who wants to use people power to put himself on the throne. The royal family must now reconcile with the intellectual. On the other hand, the two rebellions, one from the south and one from the north are talking of joining together which might mean the end of the Panther. There are doubts however about Tetu and his intentions. Finally, T’Challa and Shuri begin to find their bearings in the war. Shuri appeals to nationalism and the lesser of two evils, while T’Challa embraces change. Will it be enough to turn the tide?As usual, there’s a second half to all these Nation Under Our Foot volumes. This time there are three issues of the New Avengers that explain how Shuri sacrificed herself.
