Blue Snake Books Wing Chun Plum Flower Posts: Advancing the Legwork of the Wooden Dummy

This is the first book that I know of that clearly explains and illustrates the importance of, as well as the correct use of, footwork in the Wing Chun system. Sifu Wayne refers to this training as "Playing" the Plum Flower Posts which is appropriate, as it has been discovered and proven that the human brain learns much faster when it is having "fun". I like that although Sifu Wayne may offer a pre-determined sequence of moves to get you started, he makes it clear that you are not to train or rely on any specific sequence of moves when "playing the Plum Flower Posts."

Wing Chin Plum Flower Posts - I didn't know this type of training existed. But now that I know the possibilities are endless. I haven't finished the book yet but it's already giving me ideas for my own training. All I can say is get this book refer to it often and if you get a chance to meet, talk to or train with situ Belonoha. Do it.

This is an important book for casting light on on otherwise obscure area of Wing Chun. Mr B should do more books like this rather than, as earlier, producing yet another book on the three forms etc that did nothing to add to the body of literature on Wing Chung.I would like to have given a higher star rating for it being a rare book, but perhaps there is only so much that can be said when focusing on an aspect of Wing Chung.
