A Mother's Wish

Another enjoyable book from dolly court. I would recommend this book to anyone, who likes books from the 19th century. An interesting insight to barge life, in the 19th century. This young woman put her brother's needs, before her own. She also fought pretty ropey characters, to protect her young sons inheritance. Also to help her alcoholic father in law,against to bullies. Shows strength of character.

I so enjoy reading Dilly Court books I've read just about all her books now but this is one of her best I am not going to say what the story is but there is so much twists and turns in this book it would make a very good movie.

All Tilly Court's books are written in the same 'vein' but keep you spell bound until the last page.

Really liking this story. Follows the same Dilly Court style and is a nice gentle read.
