Read with Oxford: Stage 3: Julia Donaldson's Songbirds: Tim's Bad Mood and Other Stories

Check it first
Most of the stories are fine but we found the story Tim's Bad Mood to be unsuitable. Our little one found it upsetting to read and at the end of the story the main character gets bullied. Not great for a 5 year old's reading book, in my opinion

Great book, just check stage as levels 2 and 3 are both stage 2.
Great resource with a range of exciting stories to interest the reader. My only recommendation is to check the stage as stage and levels on the songbirds scheme are different. I bought stage 3 as my child has moved onto level 3 songbirds but both level 2 and 3 are covered in stage 2. My mistake. Still a great book and we have ordered stage 2 until she is ready to move on to this.

Great stories
My 5-year-old laughed and laughed at the Tim's Bad Mood story, and read it 3 times. Good range of stories, fun to read, and better value than buying the Oxford books separately.

Compilation of stories.
More than 1 story in the book. Slightly more difficult read than Biff Chip and Kipper Oxford Reading Tree books, so good for a new challenge. Good value.

Perfect buy for my 5 year old!
My son was given online reading during lockdown and struggled with it. So I judged this as being his level and he’s re-found his enthusiasm for reading. Great stories and lovely book.
