Never used it before but it def makes it easier to paint on canvas.

Good coverage
This is nice and black and covers my 300gsm white and off-white watercolor paper easily, and it dries quickly. Generally, I'm happy with just one coat. I love this stuff.

Nicely performing Gesso at a reasonable price, by a professional artist
This is listed as student grade, but I found it to be very capable.Black Gesso can be difficult to find, and I'm glad I came across this. Some people will find this a bit more runny than expected. For me, this is ok and actually allows easier application by brush.In any case, it was a good purchase. I'd buy it again.
