Excellent product ...in the right hands
Yes, this is an excellent product. There is no denial. It ticks all the boxes and even delivers on top of it! It is virtually a must-have for kayak fishing. It is quite common for people to make kayak fishing boxes from milk crates, but your experience may vary depending on how handy you are... this product is superior to any DYI design I ever saw. ...and if you take into account the time you spend building your own - it is even cheaper than any DYI crate.Having said this, it is not without flaws:- The listing suggests that there are bungee cords are included, but upon careful examination of the package, this is not quite accurate (it is rather a listing mistake) - the bungee cords are included only with the standard version and this listing is for their premium version of the products (double-deck design). Lots of people got upset by this and this was my first impression too, but I think if the vendor reviews the listing it will save the frustration for everyone.- Putting it together properly is not possible by hand. I used a rubber mallet and it worked perfectly. They should mention in the manual that the sides of the crate should be level, it appears that many people do not follow through with this and end up with a crooked and misaligned crate. Once you manage to drive the pieces in place, the result is perfect. All in all, I'll give it 5 stars despite minor assembly hurdles and bungee cord confusion. It is an excellent product and you will enjoy it for many years to come.

The best Kayak fishing crate??? Maybe
Changed my kayak and after doing a lot of research settled on this crate for my need. Firstly it is not the easiest put together even though it snap locks together, using a flat level surface for assembly is a must. I also used some large f-clamps for woodworking to help as well as my panels arrived slightly bowed but I got there in the end and it was well worth it. There is a video on youtube by Flambeau about assembly and well worth watching and following the steps. Crate is absolutely brilliant, loads of storage, very customisable, I have added the rod holders to the other side as well which have to be purchased separately, think they cost me about £12. I have added bungee to the top, the inside under the top compartment and the front also. Plenty of videos with peoples mods for this crate and I used a few of them. If you are in the market for a crate I would definitely recommend this one.

Great kayak/small boat tackle option
Over the last several years I have tournament fished from a number of small crafts (canoe, bass buggy, kayak) and tried several tackle management solutions including large bags but ultimately came back to a crate as the best solution for this. I worked with a homemade crate for a bit but found it lacking some space I needed for odds and ends.My decision was a toss up between this and the yak attack black pack. I checked out the black pack in person and found that it’s particle board coated and overall a bit more sturdy than the flambeau. However, it’s more expensive and lacking the space of the this crate.Reason why I choose this crate instead:Space. Top and bottom containers are nice and allow for a lot of storage management of your choice. It’s plastic but it’s sturdy enough. I must have at least 50lbs of gear I load into mine and I don’t feel it will come apart. As far as accessories mounting, I just use the rod holders that came with it so I can’t speak to the adding things like camera mounts etc.Only cons:It’s a rather tall crate once assembled. Taller than the black pack and a regular crate. This might turn off some anglers. I fish from a 14ft Radisson canoe and a Nucanoe Pursuit and it hasn’t been a issue for me in movement around my small crafts. I will occasionally fish as a co angler is big boat tournaments and I do not recommend hauling it for these situations, I transfer back to a tackle bag for this.I’d recommend adding a tie (added a picture) to make sure the lid doesn’t flap down when opening the bottom or top. This was the only operational frustration I encountered before I corrected it.Overall a great crate with lots of space for a decent price.

Great crate if it’s complete
Crate is solid and easy to put together, provided all the bits are there - which they weren’t first time around. Amazon customer service hooked me up with a replacement in very quick turnaround but it looks like missing pieces is a common issue. Otherwise great.
