I got my son this bag for Christmas and he loves it. He is 12 and he can pretty much do circles in it and it has kept him warm at temperatures down to 10-deg. So I decided to get one for myself... I just wish i would have climbed into it before ordering it. This bag is made in China, and must have been designed around either their average body width or a very skinny Americans. I am not a really big guy. I am 5'11" and a little broad in the shoulders. By no means am I large in the shoulders, just a little wide from lifting weights in my youth. This bag crushed my shoulders. I broke a sweat trying to get the zipper past my upper arms and chest. Once i finally got it all zipped I could never fully flatten out my back and sleeping like that was just miserable. We were camping in tents on snow at 10-degrees (with foam pads) and i was pretty warm. But due to my shoulders being confined all night I woke up with a terrible backache.Pros - Good foot room - Very warm (even down to 10-F which is not a comfort rating but a survival rating) - Comfortable Material - Very light and pack-ableCons - Chest space is minimal at best for average men (wouldn't even consider this bag for big and tall) - zipper - the zipper tends to open all the way when climbing in/out and it comes out of the bottom zipper box and pin (as designed to do). The problem is the material is so soft and the zipper so small that getting the zipper back together to zip it up while bent over in cold weather is a real challenge. Took me a good ten minutes and I was frozen by the time I got back into the bag.

great price, I used this camping and the temperature got down to 23 F. I was never cold the whole night.The only reason I gave it 4 instead of a 5 was the compression sack that came with it only compresses 1 direction instead of 2. Also it is a serious hand work out trying to get the bag back in the sack. But I paid for a sleeping bag not so much the sack it comes in. Great buy.

I have been in Boy Scouts since I was 11 and I am now currently a scout leader. I have been going on monthly scout camp outs for many, many years. I have gone through many bags over the years. The previous bag I most recently had was a mummy bag that cost just over $100. This bag is half the price and I like it much more than my previous bag. This bag fits me perfectly, but if you are tall you will need another bag. I am 5'10'' and my feet have some room. I would guess that someone at about 6' or 6'2'' would be the tallest for this bag. I am a slim guy and again it fit me well. If you are on the heavier side it may be too restrictive to get comfortable. The bag has held up great. I have yet to try it in very cold weather, but it is very promising as it is warmer than my previous mommy bag. The zipper works well and the stitching seems to be well done. The carrying bag is great. It has a convenient strap system and it pretty small for the cold rating of this bag. Other 10F bags are much larger than this one unless you pay a lot of money. This bag also has a flap that hangs down at about the shoulder area to help keep warm air in and the cold air out. Besides the size restraints there is no issues and even that is not an issue. This bag is made for people about my size. They cant make a big bag for everyone because than there would be too much heat loss. So if you are taller or heavier than try a different bag. Love it.It is soft and comfortable.Zipper is a bit sticky in places but works fine otherwise.No we have not used it in sub 30 degree temps just yet....But at around 35-38 it is nice and warm.Based on my usage to date I would definitely recommend this bag. It includes a storage / travel bag that it is almost impossible to squeeze it back into once it totally expands.Pull tab on the inside made zipping fairly easy.Based on our test usage to date I would recommend this sleeping bag.I did receive this product at a discount for my evaluation, review and unbiased opinion.All items I review are used day to day, in normal everyday settings andI will update my rating and review based on normal everyday usage if my opinion or experience changes.
