This is the second stick I have. I use this stick everyday. It is very sturdy. It's the only way I can get my compression socks off as I have limited mobility of my hands. I also use it to dress and for quickly grabbing clothing just out of reach. The only negative is that I'd like the larger hook to be anchored better into the stick. After flexing the hook while using it numerous times, it eventually broke off. Wish they could come up with an even sturdier way to screw the hook into the wooden dowel. Maybe a wider screw part???

Fantastic Tool!
This “dressing stick” is amazing! I had major low back surgery and I needed tools to help me be more self sufficient. This stick by far is my favorite implement. I use it to put on my underwear & pants, get clothes up off of the floor, & pick up bags containing bladder control pads from the floor. Due to my surgery, I can’t bend, twist, or lift anything above 5 pounds. This stick is an amazing tool that I recommend for anyone that has undergone surgery. It is made from great materials, and is made very well. It is constructed with one solid piece of wood, which makes for a very sturdy tool. The metal parts are covered with a rubbery type substance that protects your clothing from snags or damage. The overall texture & weight of the dressing stick are aesthetically pleasing in my hands.

Not very sturdy
This is our second purchase of this item. My husband is bed & wheelchair bound and needs this tool for his everyday functioning. I originally purchased this item in May 2019 and then again in June 2020. The first one lasted just over 1 year, but he had also spent considerable time weak in bed with a PIC line and antibiotics and then in the hospital and rehab, so he wasn't using it as much as he is now. In the one purchased in June 2020, the hook on the one end came out (pictured without a hook) within the first month, but he doesn't use that end much. The other end (pictured with the duck tape) also came out approximately 1/1.5 months into owning. Currently, the fix is to duck tape it together while I try to find something even more sturdy. I would say that the tool is fine if only using it occasionally, but for most people who are unable to walk at all, the use would be extensively greater and it is not adequate for those who need it on a daily basis.

Perfect for my needs.
While I do not (yet) require this item for "dressing", I bought it for help with hanging small items and rearranging even smaller items on display...it is lightweight enough that it is easy to use in every situation that I come across. I saw another designer using one of these to tend to final set-ups in detailed window displays, and was immediately smitten with it. Professional "detail sticks" may have stronger hooks, but man, are those rods ever heavy! There is no way when using such heavy tools to manage delicate tasks as you cope with the weight of the device. I really have no need to hoist heavy stuff...I need to be able to lift a long hook to extend my reach to deal with delicate things. This is wonderful! The three hooks address all the various kinds of items that I need to hang onto as I lift them...nice to have three options. Arrived quickly and well-protected for shipping!

The concept is great, but if you're pushing and pulling with any force, either to remove socks or pull on work boots, the entire thing is just too weakly engineered.

I have an IKEA wardrobe system defunct, which each unit hangs 1m doubled (2m). and a wardrobe bought here with me 2 long hanging & 1 70cm hanging on top of each other. I have 1 leg do I have to sit on my bed to hang clothes up to 2m high, the L shape help me hang on the smaller wardrobe and rearrange my higher one. It also opens my curtains. Which with this stick makes it easy. I've used the hook end to lift hangers bras by step off the floor and I hang it by the hook. So being disabled 5" and sitting on my low bed it was easy, helps me be independent. My support workers eyes popped when she saw the work I've down I wish it was a bit longer maybe 10cm but it worked for everything

Very pleased that there is such a product. I was not aware of them until just recently. I have struggled to get socks off from time to time so am so glad that I thought to see if I could buy such an item. Thank you Amazon. As an added bonus I can now also use it to place clothing that is on the top rung of my wardrobe. This one is great to get my socks off but will look for a metal one to help with clothing placement as this one is only wood and may not last long for that.

This item is functional but it much shorter than expected. The issue is that the stick is made of wood & it is crooked so this affects the functionality of it. The ends/hooks are sturdy enough so that is why I have given it the 2 stars in the review
