Thick with knowledge
Two pages into the introduction of this book and I realized there is so much I don't know, especially about this subject of speech and rhetoric. I've already learned quite a bit in the first few pages. It is a deep dive into the art of speech and persuasion, it gives names to styles and techniques that we see and hear everyday but yet we are unaware of what's going on. It defines things that are rarely thought upon, but yet are used constantly. Thus allowing the learner to grab hold of these tools and use them strategically especially in the areas of public discourse, political deliberations and oratory, legal arguments, and also for oratorical displays. I recommend this book, especially for any student of Plato. If you are used to Plato, please be aware that this book is written in a text book style format, as opposed to the dialogue format of Plato's works.

A Classic
Excellent value. The print is small, but this is the fundamental work on the topic.

It is deep thinking
I like the way it is written, to get one to take a break, sit back, and ponder/reflect on what he wrote.Appears applicable today as is it did thousands of years ago. My opinion.

Argument Forensics
The work is a bit disorganized, and you pile between the points in a way that make it difficult to follow. But it is excellent with an introduction from the creator of the work on rhetoric, the book has been widely used in teaching communications, but the ideas here give a good insight into the origin of rhetoric and argumentation technique.I give the book a 4-star rating, because i think there is something to be learned, witch is not given in other books on the subject. The lack of structure is the prime reason it does not get a 5-star rating.I will recommend the book to people who want to read one of the original works on the subject of rhetoric and argumentation.

Know the classics
Although translations of classics like this can be a bit try and confusing as to some of the specific references to Aristotle’s contemporaries, it is worth reading where so many concepts we take for granted were first articulated in document form. All one needs to know about making a persuasive argument can be found here.

Great Info, Poor Layout
I would have given this book a 5 star except for the layout. It is kind of hard to read as there are no paragraph breaks. But I bought this book for the info.

Say nothing that doesn't improve on silence.
Concise and to the point. What happened to meaningful debate?

Many print editions of Aristotle have a numbering scheme in the marginalia, they were preserved in the ebook edition but there's no margin on the screen so the numbering often appears in mid-sentence ... and treble-spaced! Translation was very readable so I don't regret checking it out. I will buy print editions of Aristotle from now on.

Easy read
It's a great book for those who study Rhetoric, if you like to argue and or debate this the book from the "father of Reason" Aristotle. Understanding Rhetoric and its elements is a valuable tool to develop sound arguments.
