Mendota Pet Dog Slip Lead, 3/8" x 6', Woodlands

I am training my 6th dog and I would use nothing but this lead. It gives you total control and a nice walk with a loose lead, used correctly. I see neighbors being pulled down the street, their dog pulling way ahead and it's the lead. They are using a harness or extending leads that only encourages the dog to do nothing but pull. I recommend this lead for everything from a daily walk, to obedience training for the ring.

I bought two of these for our cars. They serve as emergency leash/collar when we are out with our dog. They are well made and easy to slip on our rescue dog, who is very wary of anything slipped around her neck and will not tolerate a harness. They are well made with nice details, such as a leather piece that slides up the leash to keep it tight enough around the neck so the dog won't slip it easily. She normally wears a martingale collar, which works very well, but these are great for a backup.

Our two French bulldog boys love these leashes! They're very convenient for slipping over their heads to go outside or for the short walk to the car. The rolled rope is very soft and does not choke them when they pull. Although we use harnesses for long walks, it's very convenient to have this non-choke leash for day-to-day transfers within our condo building. We had one and bought another for our other boy because we loved it so much!

I really love MENDOTA slip leads. The action is quick for training and they are also easy to carry in your pocket when training off leash. The smaller dimensions makes it a light lead for smaller dogs and pups. I use the smaller dimensions on dogs under forty pounds.

I really love this leash. I have a dog in training to be a seizure alert dog and this has saved our lives. This leash allows him to learn fast and works so well. The most helpful with preventing him from pulling. So he is not scared of it we put it on during feeds and play time so he thinks its just a normal thing we do even during fun times.

the design and color is handsome on our little hound and it does the job as expected. The material isn't invisible or anything, it's starting to fray from a teething puppy and from rubbing against brush and wrapping around trees. It's perfect as we train our puppy until we can spend more money on a more long term leash when he's fully grown.

I'm very happy with this thing. I live in an apartment complex, so I have to physically walk my dog around 3 times a day. The slip style makes putting on and taking off quick and easy. It was kind of inconvenient to find the ring on my dogs collar, and get him to stand still long enough for me to clasp it. Now I just slip it over his head, and poof, done. It's also a great alternative to chained choke collars. I imagine that the rope feels better than chain. Looks good, does good, feels good.
