PAWZ RoadCats Ultimate Scratching Post Black 80cm

Product is perfectly built and survived my 10 cats for 2 months so far, its very tough and cats loves it. Update: still standing after 6 months and 7 cats :)

This is a good quality sturdy scratching post and I would recommend it, two thumbs up

the base is in 2 parts folded like a book held by literally the carpet layer and where the timber is joined there's a pre drilled hole and big bolt with a washer, it's easy to see where this tower has a weak spot. add 4 spring toggles with washers. use a paper square to get an idea of the internal corners and pre drill with enough clearance on all corners. install them and some foam tape on them to stop them Scratching floors and you've just made this flimsy base stronger. poor design choice for the base add some staples on the joint for extra rigidity and you have yourself a decently priced cat tower with better base stability

This was our third attempt at purchasing a scratching post for our newly adopted kitty. We tried rounded and wall mounted ones with no success and realized maybe he’d prefer a rectangular one because he likes to scratch on the corner of the couch. Watched a review for this one on YouTube and glad we took the plunge! He started scratching on it soon after we put it out. Oddly enough he seems afraid of the toy that’s attached to it, maybe it has a smell he doesn’t like? Also, as others said the bolt on the bottom is not counter-sunk, so if you have hardwood floors it’ll scratch/slide around. It’s likely an easy fix to just make the hole bigger yourself, but for now we’ve just stuck a small rug under it. It’s very sturdy and I’m so happy he more inclined to scratch this than our couches!

My 2 cats immediately took to this scratching post. They use it as a play station too, where they race to see who gets to the pedestal where they are positioned perfectly for batting the other from above.I especially like the size of this scratcher. It's tall enough for them to fully stretch out while they scratch and also heavy enough that they don't knock it over.

Product arrived promptly- opened box and the first thing that hit me was the SMELL. It comes from China so I am not sure what they have used on this product but I have placed it outside because it gave me a headache witching 1/2 hr. My cat walked up to it - sniffed it and walked away. It is outside now on my deck - I had the sliding door open but have closed it now as it Reeks of Chemicals. This is a true and honest review and I regret purchase as this smell is sickening.

Really good quality sturdy cat post. Nice dark colour and super soft trim. Was relatively easy to assemble alone even as a 5 foot girl, although it took some time to get the bottom screw to thread all the way through without the base spinning. Now if only my cats would use it instead of the couch!
