You know how, when you buy a new bag of rice like this, the bag is typically sewn shut at the top (as in the product picture), and then, often, a small cardboard label is folded over and sewn onto that top seam to serve as a seal? Not this one--upon opening the Amazon box it came in, I noticed a large white sticker tamped down across the top seam of the bag. Since I wanted to gift this to a friend, I gentle unpeeled the white sticker from the fabric, and found that that bag itself was wide open: the seam was fully unfolded; the thread looked as if it had been pulled out and was hanging loose, the sewing completely undone; and the little cardboard tag was falling off. The fabric of the bag had been folded roughly and the sticker had been put in place to hold the fabric shut. Had I not been holding it upright, rice would have poured out of the bag.I assume that the sticker was put there to hold the bag closed BECAUSE the seam was wide open. If that's the case, it should never have been sold. As it is, I can neither gift it nor use it myself, as it arrived unsealed. I'm really very disappointed and troubled by that fact that it was sold this way.

This product cooks very well an have amazing flavor. I recomend prewashing three times before cooking for best results. Try this.
