The quality is good without nitrate in any form (even natural as celery juice) as vinegar is used as preservative instead. Vinegar should be less expensive than celery juice in Applegate Organic Turkey Deli. Why the price is >$8? Would not buy unless on sale

This is a better-quality replacement for Applegate turkey, which has been bad (weird taste) for years.

I have been buying this brand for several years and it is hands sown my favorite. The cost is similar to the other brands. The slices are thinker and the flavor is better than the other brands for my taste. What I love most is the meat is always moist and never overcooked and dry, like some other brands. I am thrilled that Whole Foods has started carrying True Story!

6 oz package of smoked turkey breast --flavor good----BUT---you loose about 2 ounces when you have to remove the skin on every piece. Tried to eat without removing the skin and not good.NO idea why they can't package a clean piece with no skin around each pieceWill not purchase again
