perfect for a family on the go backpacking and camping. each person in my family has this set and a loves them. we use them camping with our sons boy scout troop and 3 to 5 day backpacking trips as a family.they have held up to every thing we have put in front of them. Knife is sharp and cuts even steak. the spork is perfect no mater what your eating. It goes from soup to salad with every thing in between.

I am looking to carry the least possible weight on my multi-day backpacking trips, and this set makes a contribution to my goal. We don't think about small things like utensils, but when you're a minimalist everything counts. The only thing is that they are just a tad too long to fit in a sandwich bag, which is where I would like to carry them, so I may modify them by cutting off 1/2" off the handle Handles are long enough that I can do this.

My kids have numerous sets of utensils for when they camp with their scout troops. It is ideal to have a set of utensils that can be attached to a belt loop because you don't want to loose or misplace the utensils. It wouldn't be fun to try and eat a bowl of oatmeal with your fingers. These utensils are very light-weight and can be attached to a belt loop with the caribiner (sp?) that is provided with the set.
