Things to know before buying...
About me... Certified US Gov K9 handler, and my dog is a Belgian Malinois.I bought this about a month ago so I can run hands free with my dog. The material is decent and the straps are easy to adjust and hold where set. Whole thing is lightweight and not cumbersome in the slightest. The zip pocket holds ID, small set of keys and some cash. The mesh is quite thin, as my car keys poked a small hole 2d time out. Poop bag pocket works great and there is enough tension to keep them from deploying or falling out while running. The phone pocket, center back, is large enough to accept an iPhone 6+, but it has to be naked. I couldn't get mine in there with the Otterbox case I have on it, so no running with music in the rain for me. Maybe a skinny Lifeproof case is comparable, but I have an Otterbox.Regarding the leash. There is a separate belly band for leash attachment. You can either loop the lead through this band, or use the side release buckles and attach the lead to a little slide on the belly band. Again, my dog is a Malinois, so I don't really trust plastic buckles. Also, I like to have my dog run beside me, not in front of me. The lead that comes with this is well made, with a short bungee piece, but I find that it is too long for me. Even when I shorten it up as much as possible, it's still too long, and my dog moves ahead of me and shortly after, it's feet-paws-tail strewn across the path.I really like this set-up so I'll just have to find a work around to shorten up the lead so that my dog is at a heel when we run. Overall, I like this product and have recommended it to my fellow handlers at work.Hope this helps you make an informed decision.

Don't waste your money!
I'm a serious runner with a 75 pound shelter dog who has lots of energy but not a lot of control -- he tends to pull! I had been using a basic hands free system which consisted on a simple waist band with a leash attachment but noticed a lot of pressure where the waist strap came in contact with my spine at the small of my back. Judging from the photo of the SportLeash, it appeared to have a wide waist band that would distribute the pressure from my dog's energy evenly over a large area of my back.At least that's how it looked in the picture, which by the way features a stationary model. When I run any distance over about half a mile, the waist belt rides up to my natural waist -- the entire belt -- and bunches up there. I have tried a number of different adjustments for the belt, but nothing works: the thing rides up and I'm basically in the same position I was in when I used the cheap narrow waistband. Except that I'm out $65.The SportLeash arrived with no packaging whatsoever -- no instructions on how to wear or fit or adjust it. So I'm not even sure I have it on right (it sure doesn't look like it does on the model in the photo after I've run 6 miles!). For $65, they could at least tell me how to use the thing!

Very nice hands free leash
I ordered this leash for my 70lb American bully, he is very strong and curious. I mainly purchased this as a sort of safety net, if I do not ALWAYS have an iron grip on the handle of his leash he will pull the leash out of my grip if he suddenly takes off. I am in the midst of leash training and today is the first day I was able to use this leash.Pros- it has a handle that you can either use or unbuckle to add a bit of length to the leash, I personally like to hold the leash- it feels snug and secure even if I let go of the handle and my pooch lunges- the phone pocket is perfect for my iPhone 6 Plus- the leash can be changed from side to side with a plastic buckle, I plan on purchasing another leash so I am able to have both of my dogs hooked to the belt, one on either side- so far the material seems very durableCons- I personally want to get a second longer leash for off road excursions. My boy is intact and I never let him off leash so sometimes a long leash is useful. The plastic buckle to attach the leash to the waist strap makes finding a compatiable long leash slightly more challenging. Not a huge deal but if it was made with metal rings instead of plastic clips it would be so easy to find a long leash.- I am a chubby gal and the product is obviously intended for slimmer individuals, I do fit into it but I don't have much extra slack, also not a big deal for me but if you are heavier be sure to measure your waist before ordering. Being heavy also makes it difficult to get into the zippered pocket.Overall this is a good product, it is better quality than other models I have seen and the few cons are easily remedied, I will update after more use.

Not for me
Product is extremely thin, no support if you hv a larger dog as you wou think from design/pics. The cords on waist belt are so long that they get in the way (pics look diff then the way it's worn) & pouches are very small. I'm 5'6, sz 8-10 with a service dog. This may work for some ppl but I found it lacking compared to what I had & price point. Best thing was quality and style of the leash. Worst thing for me, I could not open the "quick release" clips. It was so bad that once I had it on & everything hooked up, I had to slide it off bc I couldn't get them undone. I have those style clips on many things, so I know it was this product.

It held up very well and was very comfortable with my major puller pup
This is the second time I've purchased this item. The first time was in 2016 and as a dedicated Canicross runner I logged thousands of miles wearing this belt attached to my furry running buddy. It held up very well and was very comfortable with my major puller pup. I've given numerous verbal recommendations to people who ask me about my equipment and will continue to do so. The last belt finally wore out from use and repairs were no longer holding up. I decided it was time for a new replacement and hope for another couple of years of use out of this one. Thanks for making a great product, please continue to keep it up. I would like to see a better version of the Bungie leash with more Bungie as the one that comes with the belt doesn't have enough give for big dogs trained to pull in canicross, skijoring, and bikejoring.
